I am so far behind on my blogging and debated if I should even try to catch up. So here it goes.
For the 4th of July we went to Provo, (BIG SURPRISE) for the Stadium of Fire. This time we took Andi with us and left the rest of her family at home,
One of our first stops when we go up North we always stop in Beaver for a sample of cheese and a scoop of Ice Cream. this is a picture of Hunter help Andi pick the kind of Ice cream she wants.
This is Andi taking the cheese out of her mouth and giving back to papa so she can have Ice Cream!
Yes, can you believe it, the ice cream cone I'm holding in one hand is considered a one scooper, the other is a kids single cone. It was still way to much to eat.
Andi always has to try everyone Else's ice cream, and I think she liked papa's the best.
This is what Andi's looked like after taking some off almost every time she dropped it on the floor, and then she spent the next 15 minutes running through the store in circles because of the sugar high.
When we got to Highland, to Duane's sister's house, Brianna watched Andi while we went to Costco to get the food for the weekend. While we were putting all the food away, Andi got a hold of a pop-cycle, I am so glad I had her sit outside in the shade to eat this and not in Darla's beautiful no child proof home. In fact Andi had two favorite things at Great Aunt Darla's home, one the back door because she could reach it and go play outside when ever she wanted, the other was the water cooler. she flooded the floor more time than I would like to tell.
Oh did I say Aunt Darla and Uncle Scott were not even home for the weekend, we were crashing there with other family members and 3 of their kids. (Wow, such nice family) Andi had us busy keeping her out of everything, I have a list of thing for Darla to fix, once her first one gets married and starts to have kids even though she has some years before that happens.
Andi like to take things over, While we we''re sitting at the car in the feild parking lot at BYU waiting for it to get closer for the concert to start, Andi made a friend by taking over everything.
She took over her ball.
And her princess chair, She thought everyone brought it for her.
This is starting to Andi staple look for the Stadium of Fire, orange ear plugs, At least this year she wanted them in. Except they kept falling out and we almost went through the whole package to keep some in.
Andi and some of her great cousins. Not sure how you title that it's Duane and I's nieces.
See here is another toy she took over, and at one point she had two of them. She's not happy with me I tried to get her to smile and she just wanted to play.
At the end she was very tired.
She slept from right before the fire works started, the ride home, and a stop at Wal-mart which I have to say was very hard holding her and pushing the shopping cart at the same time. For some reason when we got into the store everyone ditched me. Until Duane found me, never go to Wal mart with a sleepy kid and a dead cell phone.
This is Andi taking over Brianna's hat and shoes.
This is Andi after getting into my make up when she was suppose to be taking a nap.
Andi's cousins that we're visiting too.
We went to the Temple to get out of the house for a while on Sunday, Scott and Darla live very close to it.
Duane tried to show Andi the beautiful flowers on the Temple Ground.
Our Group to teenagers having fun.
The next morning we got up early to go to the Balloon festival, I'm beginning to think Andi is a jinks, this is out 2nd year going, and both times out of all the years we have been it has been too windy for the hot air balloons to go up. We were there maybe 10 minutes before the wind took them all down.
This is Andi taking over someone's spot for the Freedom Parade. She acted like it was just for her, chairs and all, She danced and had a great time.
Watching the Parade
These were always Alex's favorite part of the parade growing up. His eyes would light up and a great big smile on his face as soon as he would see them, Of course we had to take pictures with our phone to send to him, This is the second year Alex has been at National Guard Training and not been able to be with family on the 4th.
These are the ones Andi loved the most. I liked them too.
Once the parade was over we went back to Scott and Darla's and had a barbecue they got home the night before so we got to spend a little time with them before come home. Wish I would have gotten some pictures of that, but I made the meal so I was busy finishing putting it together.
We had to leave after that, because of a couple of reasons, one - I was tired, Andi was tired and Duane was Tired! two- Jessica and Jared's street where going to get repaved the next day and we would have to park 3 blocks way from their house in returning Andi. Not only returning Andi, but trying to switch cars, We took their van because it had a lot more room for the long ride.
Andi was so tired she was asleep before we got a block away from Darla's and slept most of the way home. We had her sleep schedule so messed up. Stay out past midnight, getting up at 5:00, I'm surprise we survived
Once we got back to Cedar, Jessica made us dinner and my Birthday cake, Andi and Jared had some snaps to pop and had a blast popping them, Hunter and Jared had a war with each other with them, they were all over the place.
Lydia's snotty nose, where it comes from no one knows.
Jessica made cupcakes!
Jared cleaned the mess!
I blew out candles!
Andi picked at the frosting!
And I shoved it in her face!
Did I feel bad? NO, we laughed, even Andi did after the shock.
And we made it home to Mesquite to see our very own fireworks, Haven't been in Mesquite for them in years, And the Eureka did a great job on the fireworks.
That was our 4th of July!
