We Get A Sunny Day :-)

Today we we're pretty lucky to get a Sunny Day, at least for the most of it. We went to the Volcano National Park, it was quite interesting, who would ever think that there would be a rain-forest in the middle of volcano areas.

These first pictures are some animals we saw along our way.

Our First of many overlooks

and the whole reason for coming to this Island was the Thurston Lava Tube
Duane wanted us to hike,

 getting inside

the first part of the hike was lighted, and then you could make a choice to go on as long as you had flashlights, We brought ours so we went on further into the lava tube, It was kinda freaky,  Not sure that I have been anywhere it had been that dark before. if you turned you flashlight off you wouldn't even see your finger if it was poking your eye out.

This first picture is Duane with the two flashlights on him. and then in the next one I moved my flashlight around while taking the picture so that you might see more of the tube.

Coming out or our dark hole.

next stop the road of craters, the water here is so blue and clear.

and then our next hike to the end of the road where the lava came over it and so you can no longer go all the way by car.

Duane tried to hold it back, I find it interesting that it would just stop like that and not flow off the edge.

After Duane saved the world, we traveled around the other side of the Island and these are some pictures we took along our way.

Sunsets amaze me, they start out so yellow and then to a beautiful blue. But I have to say, these Sunsets don't even match up to the ones we get in Mesquite.
